Job Duties:

• Participation in the acquisition and execution of research projects in the research areas of the Institute of Technical Mechanics
• Participation in teaching including self-contained teaching of existing courses
• Support the administration of the research and teaching activities of the Institute of Technical Mechanics
• Completion of a dissertation

Your Qualifications:

• The candidate must have a completed university degree (Diploma/Master's) in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Engineering, or a comparable technical field
• Willingness and ability to pursue a doctorate
• High level of motivation for academic work, as well as strong initiative and the ability to work independently
• Profound knowledge in Technical Mechanics - in particular, in the areas of continuum mechanics of solids, computational mechanics and machine learning
• Willingness to independently familiarize oneself with new subject areas and work on interdisciplinary issues (e.g. with regard to Medical Engineering)
• Excellent written and spoken German (at least level C1) and English (at least level B1) skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as an enthusiasm for collaborating with industry and research partners

• On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,776.10 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
