Organizational Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Head of Unit for Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration, the candidate will be responsible for providing assistance for the implementation of Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration projects.
The projects implemented by the Unit for Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration aim to support the Austrian return system by complementing existing national mechanisms in the field of assisted voluntary return and reintegration and paying particular attention to returnees in vulnerable situations. Beside operational and needs-based support to guarantee safe, timely and dignified return and sustainable reintegration, quality assurance measures to support central stakeholders of the system with training and exchange opportunities as well as outreach and communication activities are a central part of the projects. The projects are implemented in close coordination with IOM offices in the countries of return as well as in cooperation with relevant stakeholders in Austria.
