Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for international insurance programs within the Engineering Lines and drive their continuous development for technically complex large-scale and consortium projects.
- Design and place tailored insurance solutions in international markets, including negotiating premiums, terms, conditions and deductibles with insurers.
- Advise project teams, sales and legal departments on insurance, liability and contractual matters and provide recommendations on project-related risks.
- Manage complex claims and act as the primary contact for insurers, brokers, claims adjusters, legal advisors and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the improvement of insurance processes, standards and governance and build and maintain an international network of insurance partners.
Requirements
- University degree (e.g., Insurance Management; Civil, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; Law with a focus on Insurance Law) or commercial training with relevant professional experience.
- Several years of comparable relevant professional experience in industrial or project insurance, ideally in the engineering or construction sector.
- Strong understanding of technical project risks and international insurance programs.
- Structured, solution-oriented and independent working style combined with strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Very good English skills; German skills are an advantage (additional foreign languages are a plus).
- Willingness to travel worldwide.
