IT Software Designer

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, operation and redesign of in-house developed software applications
• Full web development (frontend/backend) on hardware and software infrastructure
• Software design and architecture (including implementation and testing)
• Development and maintenance of databases
• Preparation of requirements analyses
• Testing and maintenance of websites
• Technical customization of TYPO3 websites in collaboration with the central IT department
• Documentation and quality assurance
• Supporting users as part of second-level support

Requirements

• Completed vocational training or degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Several years of practical experience in web development
• Knowledge of web programming (HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript) and experience with JavaScript libraries, especially React
• Experience with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
• Experience with code versioning and CI/CD systems (e.g., GitLab)
• Basic knowledge of administering Linux servers
• Experience working with and customizing content management systems (ideally TYPO3 including extensions, or similar)
• Very good German (at least C1) and good English skills (at least B2), both written and spoken
