University Assistant (PhD Position)

Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Dissertation in the field of strongly correlated quantum matter
• Independent research in the field of quantum physics and quantum optics
• Independent teaching
• Co-supervision of students
• Outreach activities and further education
• Administrative tasks

Your profile:

• Completed Master's, Magister or Diplom degree in physics; very good command of English; experimental knowledge and experience in quantum physics and quantum optics, in particular with particle traps and laser cooling
• Please enclose written reflections on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
• Ability to work in a team with project groups
• Creative problem-solving skills
