STRABAG UK are seeking an experienced Document Controller to work within our ever growing Build Subdivision to support the successful delivery of construction projects within the Industrial & Logistical sector through the effective management, control, and distribution of project documentation.

What matters to us

Required:

  • A solid understanding of Common Data Environments (specifically Asite) and Electronic Document Management Systems under the scope of the Engineering Design.
  • Previous experience in a Document Controller or project administration role within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and technical skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Highly interested in IT and specifically Common Data Environments (CDE)

Desired:

  • Information Exchange protocols and workflows within Bentley ProjectWise and Bentley AssetWise environment, Sharepoint, Thinkproject’s CEMAR (ideally Experience as a ProjectWise Administrator)
  • Experience with Electronic Document Control Workflows and the management.
  • Experience of working across all stages of a civil engineering project lifecycle and understanding the design development in conjunction to the construction phase
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling), ideally Bentley environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Bentley EnableMyTeam (emt) and Bentley eB systems

As a Document Controller within the Build subdivision of STRABAG UK, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of construction projects through the effective management, control, and distribution of project documentation. Requirements:

  • Responsible to assist and manage effectively and efficiently the Design organisation’s information flow via the Common Data Environment (Asite) according to established CDE quality standards and requirements.
  • Responsible to review and revise, whenever required, the CDE Protocols and internal plans and the corresponding the projects policies.
  • Work closely together with the Assurance Team, the BIM Team, and Design Managers, and the Pre-construction & Delivery Teams to assist them with their requirements for EDMS (electronic documents management systems), as well as their documentation obligations.
  • Assist project teams to optimize existing workflows and processes by drafting process charts and administer the implementation.
  • Assist with refining protocols and standards for the CDE with different stakeholders across the organisation and the client.
  • Assist with coordinating data and system backups with third parties.
  • Responsible for receiving and filing Enquiries, Tenders, Tender Addendums and ensuring all information is filed, document registers updated and distributed accordingly.
  • Maintain tender addendum schedules and ensure latest information is available and filed.
  • Updating of electronic and hard copy files
