University Assistant (postdoc)

Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Independent research activities in the field of information retrieval
• Independent organisation of courses and examinations
• Supervision of students incl. Supervision of bachelor theses
• Participation in organisational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures

Your profile

• Completed relevant doctoral or PhD degree programme
• Excellent knowledge of information retrieval and temporal QA
• Very good programming skills - preferably in Python, Java; in the development of algorithms for information retrieval and temporal QA
• Proven publication experience
• Proven teaching skills
• Creative problem solving skills
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Leadership skills in dealing with student employees and/or project staff
• Communication skills in the supervision of students
• Ability to work in a team
