The Lead Scientist, Stability Services is responsible for overseeing and executing stability work in Pasching, including customer collaboration, testing and data generation, and providing reports to the business and customer.  As part of a larger team located in the US, this role requires initiative and independence while delivering accurate data and support for the EU region while supporting critical customer needs.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Stability and Analytical Services and is part of the Cell Culture Media business unit. This role is located in Pasching, Austria and will be an on-site role. 

What you will do:

• Manage the stability program for custom and standard products in Pasching as part of the global stability program

• Work with customer and sales team to understand and document customer requirements and determine pricing

• Perform stability testing and generate customer-facing data and reports, including LIMS use and set-up

• Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory

• Provide general support and guidance for site audits, stability memos, investigations, etc as needed

• Support Quality team in conducting risk assessments related to product stability

Who you are:

• Bachelor of Science in cell or molecular biology, biology, biochemistry, or similar scientific discipline

• Minimum of 5 years laboratory experience, including mammalian cell culture

• Demonstrated experience with Quality systems and regulatory requirements

• Excellent German and English skills, both spoken and written

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 10 kg

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Customer communication and collaboration

• Demonstrated process skills with high attention to detail

The annual salary range for this role is approximately 70.000 euros, depending on qualifications and experience. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
