University Assistant (PhD Position)

Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Dissertation in the field of geotechnics and natural hazards
• Own research with the aim of writing a dissertation
• Teaching in the field of geotechnics and natural hazards
• Participation in research projects
• Administrative tasks
• Training and further education

Your profile:

• Completed relevant master's or diploma programme (civil engineering, environmental engineering)
• In-depth knowledge of: Geotechnics, numerical calculations with discrete element method, model tests, laboratory tests, geotechnical measurements, natural hazards, mass movements, rockfall modelling, geotechnical field tests
• Very good knowledge of German (written and spoken)
• Good knowledge of English
• Ability to work independently
• Interdisciplinary interest
• Co-operative character
• Ability to work in a team, creative problem-solving skills
• Please enclose written reflections on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
