Your tasks:

  • Writing a PhD thesis in English cultural studies
  • Independent research, academic publications
  • Academic teaching and supervision of students
  • Support of research in the department
  • Professional training
  • Administrative tasks

Your profile

  • Completed subject-related Master's, Magister or Diplom degree programme in the area of anglophone literary/cultural studies
  • Excellent competence in English (C2), basic competence (B1) in German
  • Organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team, communicative and pedagogic competence
  • Relevant international experience, experience with research organisation or with teaching are an advantage

Your application should include:

letter of motivation, CV, relevant transcripts and certificates, name/contact details for a possible referee, a description of your planned PhD project in the area of British/Anglophone cultural studies (no more than 5 pages, plus time line), PDF of your MA thesis
