Extent of employment:
- 20 hours per week; will be increased to 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed
Job Description:
Your tasks:
- Dissertation in the field of flood protection and climate change (in particular technical flood protection, natural retention, control), physical and numerical modelling (2D/3D)
- Independent research in the field of the dissertation topic
- Independent teaching, language of instruction German
- Training and further education
- Administrative tasks
Your profile:
- Completed Master's, Magister or Diplom degree (civil engineering, possibly environmental engineering or comparable field of study)
- Please enclose a written outline of your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
- Friendly and patient interaction with students and staff
- Willingness and pleasure in working independently
- Ability to work in a team

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.857 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.785 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before. *as of 2025
