Job Description:
Your tasks:
- Dissertation in the field of in-situ geosensors for natural hazards/monitoring, especially in the Alpine cryosphere.
- Independent research in the field
- Scientific publication activities
- Independent collaboration in teaching
- Participation oin the assessment of students, outreach
- Organisational and administrative tasks
- Training and further education
Your profile:
- Degree or Master's degree in glaciology, meteorology, geosciences, computer science, electrical engineering, physics or related fields
- Motivation for experimental and interdisciplinary work
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Analytical, critical thinking, curiosity and creativity
- Ability to work independently as well as in teams
- Social and communication skills
- Experience in writing international scientific publications is an advantage.
- The working group is active in various interdisciplinary research projects with geosciences in the high alpine region. Relevant knowledge and skills in the outdoor area are not a requirement for this position but are a plus.
