Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Dissertation in the field of in-situ geosensors for natural hazards/monitoring, especially in the Alpine cryosphere.
• Independent research in the field
• Scientific publication activities
• Independent collaboration in teaching
• Participation oin the assessment of students, outreach
• Organisational and administrative tasks
• Training and further education

Your profile:

• Degree or Master's degree in glaciology, meteorology, geosciences, computer science, electrical engineering, physics or related fields
• Motivation for experimental and interdisciplinary work
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Analytical, critical thinking, curiosity and creativity
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams
• Social and communication skills
• Experience in writing international scientific publications is an advantage.
• The working group is active in various interdisciplinary research projects with geosciences in the high alpine region. Relevant knowledge and skills in the outdoor area are not a requirement for this position but are a plus.
