University Assistant (postdoc)
Job Description:
Your tasks:
- Independent research in the field of interpreting studies; academic publication and presentation activities
- Independent research-led teaching; supervision of Bachelor's/Master's theses; participation in conference interpreting exams
- Participation in interpreting research projects
- Collaboration in organisational and administrative tasks
- Continuing education
Your profile: Necessary qualifications:
- Above-average diploma, MA or comparable degree in conference interpreting
- Above-average doctorate in the field of conference interpreting or community interpreting (a meaningful abstract of the dissertation must be enclosed with the application documents)
- Demonstrable interest in interpreting research (a description of the planned research project(s) must be enclosed with the application documents)
- C2 level competence in German, competence level C2 in another language spoken at the institute, preferably French or Russian
- Desired qualifications: Experience with CAI tools in research/teaching or as a trainer in the field of community interpreting
- Several years of professional experience in conference interpreting or community interpreting
- Teaching experience in the field of conference interpreting
- Ability to work in a team, independence, critical thinking skills
