Dissertation Position in International Management

The International Management group at the Institute for Management & Marketing, University of Innsbruck, is looking for a PhD student to conduct theory-driven empirical and/or experimental research at the intersection of International Management and Global Strategy.

Your tasks:

• Independent research in the field of International Management and Global Strategy
• Co-operation in research projects
• Independent teaching
• Training and further education
• Administrative tasks

Your profile:

• Completed subject-related Master's or Diploma degree
• Please enclose written thoughts on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
• High ability to work in a team
• Very good knowledge of English

We offer:

• A four years (fixed-term) contract for a dissertation position, from 03.01.2026 or upon agreement;
• Guidance and support in conducting your own research, with your dissertation being the focus of your work, while also conducting collaborative studies in a research-oriented team, in the above-mentioned research domains;
• Room for teaching and third-mission activities in the group, with research being your clear focus.
