University Assistant (PhD position)

Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Dissertation in the field of theoretical quantum optics, theoretical modelling of open many-body quantum systems and light-matter interaction for quantum technologies
• Own research (= dissertation)
• Independent teaching
• Participation in the supervision of students, scientific publications
• Participation in conferences and congresses, further education
• Administrative tasks

Your profile:

• Essential: completed Master's degree, expertise in basic and advanced quantum theory, basic knowledge of scientific programming, good English skills; Desirable: Expertise in theoretical quantum optics, experience in programming and numerical physics
• Please enclose written reflections on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
• Ability to work in a team; self-management
