Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Research including field work, writing publications in scientific journals, acquisition of third-party funding, contact and cooperation with scientists and technicians at national and international level
• Contribution to organisation, administration, management of the laboratory and the working group
• Teaching
• Maintenance and management of the working group's field and laboratory equipment

Your profile

• Completed relevant doctoral or PhD studies (biology/ecology, environmental sciences or related disciplines), research experience with biogeochemical and environmental-microbiological methods (in particular with respect to running water ecosystems) and with molecular-biological methods, experience with multi-scale approaches of spatial ecology (meta-communities, meta-ecosystems), experience in data management, spatial statistical analysis, programming language R
• High level of creativity in problem solution and skill in improvisation, ability to work in an interdisciplinary and international team, organisational skills, independence, experience in interaction with experts and technicians, fair technical skills
• Excellent English skills

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for this position amounts to € 1.233 per month (14 times)^*.
