University Assistant (PhD position)

• for 4 years

Administrative unit:

• Department of Experimental Physics

Extent of employment:

• 20 hours per week; will be increased to 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed

Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Dissertation in the field of experimental physics - superconducting circuits
• Own research on quantum systems within the scope of projects
• Independent teaching
• Training and further education
• Administrative tasks
• Publication and supervision of students

Your profile:

• Completed relevant Master's, Magister or Diplom degree in physics
• good knowledge of English
• Experience in the design of superconducting circuits, in dealing with microwave measurements, cryo-tec electronics
• Knowledge in the field of quantum physics and quantum optics
• Ability to work in a team with project groups
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Please enclose written reflections on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
