Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Dissertation in the field of Experimental architecture and design. In general, the position researches current transdisciplinary issues at the interface of architecture, art, society, politics and ecology in the context of the ./studio3 research area. The research focus is on the significance of new visualisation and imaging processes for the nature of space and architecture;
• High-quality, independent, research-led teaching in the field of experimental architecture and design;
• Independent teaching
• Participation in research at the institute; publication activities
• Participation in the administration of the department, organisation of scientific events;
• Training and further education through active and passive participation in conferences and congresses is obligatory

Your profile:

• A completed Master's, Magister or Diplom degree in a relevant subject at a university specialising in architecture (if completed abroad, submission of a transcript of record, possibly with translation de o. Eng);
• In-depth knowledge of analogue and digital artistic design and fabrication methods; extensive computer skills and in-depth knowledge of design-related software such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Blender, I-applications, laser scanning methods, image processing programs; extensive experience with model making, digital fabrication and prototyping;
• Previous experience in teaching and research
• Good command of English
• Ability to motivate students, above-average commitment, didactic skills, ability to work in a team, sense of responsibility, high resilience

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.857 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.785 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
