University Assistant (PhD position)

Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Independent research in the field of Power electronics
• Independent teaching
• Administrative tasks

Your profile:

• Completed relevant Master's, Magister or Diploma degree, research expertise with a special focus on advanced power converter topologies and applications, power semiconductors, energy storage devices and the control of power converters.
• Very good analytical skills and methods
• Experience with simulation and design tools such as Plexim, PSIM, FEM tools, Altium Designer and MATLAB
• Experience in the development, troubleshooting and testing of power converters is required
• Experience in analysing and designing MF and RF magnetics (inductors and transformers) is desirable
• Please include written reflections on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
• Ability to work in a team; problem-solving skills; communication skills
