University Assistant (postdoc) (substitute employee)

Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Independent research activities in the fields of Austrian labour law and social law
• Independent organisation of courses and holding of examinations
• Supervision of students incl. Supervision of bachelor theses
• Participation in organisational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures
• Continuing education

Your profile:

• Completed doctoral studies in law; dissertation in the field of labour law and social law; in-depth knowledge of Austrian labour law and social law, including references to European law;
• relevant publications an advantage; experience in academic work; didactic skills and experience in university teaching in the subjects of labour law and social law; special interest in the subjects of labour law and social law; confident IT skills, especially Windows and Microsoft Office applications as well as in dealing with academic databases and electronic journals; excellent knowledge of the German language (C2 or native speaker) and stylistically confident oral and written expression; very good knowledge of English (B2 or higher); further language skills in official EU languages an advantage
• Team and communication skills;
• Commitment and ability to familiarise oneself quickly as well as initiative;
• Assertiveness with the ability to adapt and avoid conflict at the same time
