Job Description:

Your tasks:

  • Independent research activities in the field of active mobility; participation in research proposals, publications and applications for third-party funding
  • Independent teaching of courses in the field of sports management/sports science/economics, health and sports tourism as part of the sports science degree programmes at the Institute of Sports Science; research-led teaching in the field of sports science/sports management including preparation, follow-up and examination activities
  • Supervision of students incl. Supervision of bachelor theses
  • Collaboration in organisational and administrative tasks
  • Continuing education; participation in conferences and congresses

Your profile

  • Completed relevant doctoral or PhD studies in a subject-relevant discipline (preferably in the field of (sports) management / sports science)
  • At least three years of experience as a post-doc
  • Several years of scientific research experience, relevant publications in recognised journals in the interdisciplinary fields of tourism, management or sports science. Experience in the acquisition of third-party funding
  • Scientific achievements that go significantly beyond the dissertation and are documented by publications in international journals and enable a habilitation in the subject area. Ability to plan, implement and publish own research work and to acquire third-party funding
  • Experience in research-led teaching; professional competence and completed studies that enable possible programme management (Msc Sport Management); good knowledge of MS Office and software for qualitative or quantitative data analysis (e.g. MaxQDA, SPSS)
  • Excellent knowledge of English and German, which allows you to teach courses in German and English. Please specify which courses from the sports science curricula you could teach
  • ability to contribute existing co-operations and networks in the scientific and economic field to initiate research projects
  • A pronounced willingness to perform
  • a high level of organisational talent as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of working
  • Resilience, the ability to work in a team and confident, target-oriented communication skills round off your profile
