University Assistant (PhD position)

Start date/duration:

  • for 4 years

Administrative unit:

  • Department of Organic Chemistry

Extent of employment:

  • 20 hours per week; will be increased to 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed

Job Description:

Your tasks:

  • Chemistry of nucleic acids
  • Realisation of scient. Research work in the context of the dissertation
  • Teaching and participating in the teaching of chemistry and pharmacy students (exercises, lectures, seminars)
  • Supervision of students
  • Training and further education
  • Participation in organisational and administrative tasks, in particular equipment support

Your profile

  • Completed relevant Master's, Magister or Diplom degree; experience in the synthesis of nucleosides and nucleic acids
  • Expertise in dealing with students; ability to work in a team in teaching and research; creative problem-solving skills; Please enclose a letter of motivation and written reflections on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.857 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.785 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
