University Assistant (PhD position)

Job Description:

Your tasks:

• PhD Thesis in the field of Functional Material Science
• Writing a PhD Thesis (ideally a cumulative dissertation) in the field of simulation-based and/or AI-supported description/prediction of material behavior
• Writing scientific publications as part of the dissertation
• Organising courses
• Co-/supervision of student research projects
• Participation in courses and research projects of the department
• Participation in conferences and congresses, advanced training courses
• Administrative work at the department

Your profile:

• Relevant degree / MSc degree in computer science, civil engineering, mechatronics, materials science, technical physics, technical chemistry of mechanical engineering
• Knowledge of numerical methods and/or AI desirable
• Good knowledge of German and English
• Ability to work in a team
• Leadership skills in dealing with study assistants and in the supervision of BSc theses
