University Assistant (PhD position)

- Department of Organic Chemistry
Extent of employment:
- 20 hours per week; will be increased to 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed
Job Description:
Your tasks:
- Synthesis and synthetic methodology
- Realisation of scient. Research work within the scope of the dissertation
- Teaching and participating in the teaching of chemistry and pharmacy students (exercises, lectures, seminars)
- Supervision of students
- Training and further education
- Participation in organisational and administrative tasks, in particular equipment support
Your profile
- Completed relevant Master's, Magister or Diplom degree; sound knowledge of modern natural product synthesis (total synthesis) and synthetic methodology; knowledge in the field of spectroscopy of complex molecules (NMR, IR); experience in the field of transition metal catalysis and multi-component reactions
- Expertise in dealing with students; ability to work in a team in teaching and research; creative problem-solving skills. Personal responsibility; please enclose a letter of motivation and written reflections on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)

.The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.857 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.785 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
