University Assistant (PhD position)

Start date/duration:

• Department of Geography

Extent of employment:

• 20 hours per week; will be increased to 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed

Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Independent research and publication activities in the fields of urban geography, environmental geography and/or cultural geography with the aim of a cumulative doctorate in human geography (specialized in critical urban research and/or political ecology)
• Independent teaching
• Participation in the planning and realization of research projects
• Training and further education
• Administrative tasks

Your profile:

• Successfully completed university degree (MA/MSc., Magister, Diploma) in geography/human geography or a related field in the social sciences
• Proven knowledge of working empirically with qualitative social science/human geographical research methods
• Excellent written and spoken English language skills
• Willingness to teach
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Communication skills
