What's the role?

We are looking for a Civil Engineer (f/m/d) who will provide state-of-art Civil Engineering Services during the quotation, installation and after-market phase for simple to highly complex light projects across the whole Hilti ventilated façade business.

Our site in Lanzenkirchen, based in the south of Vienna, is part of the Hilti Group and belongs to the Installation business unit in Schaan, Liechtenstein. Not only do we develop and manufacture an innovative range of substructure systems for ventilated facades, the Lanzenkirchen site is also an R&D innovation center for installation systems. With the Installation business unit, we work closely together in the areas of product development, supply, marketing and engineering. The special atmosphere at our site is the result of heterogeneous teams, personal performance, teamwork and mutual support.

What does the role involve?

  • Provide quotes by defining competitive and customized design solution on demand, using FEM
  • Create and defend static reports
  • Project and object tracking
  • Perform sophisticated static analyses
  • Refine existing schemes and systems
  • Go-to person for back office engineering team in daily operations
  • Identify, prioritize and address areas for continuous improvement

What you need is:

  • Master’s degree in civil engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD and other CAD systems
  • Excellent Static Knowledge to mastery static analyses
  • Knowledge of Eurocode and additional relevant regional codes
  • Ability to work well in an international group environment and foster a team approach
  • High level of initiative, assertiveness, and self-direction
  • Fluent in spoken and written English is mandatory, German is a plus

This position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in metal trade, employment group III which states a monthly minimum salary of € 2.373,95 for a full-time position (38,5h/week). But we will offer you a salary package highly above the collective agreement salary, starting with a minimum annual gross salary of € 54.000 (incl. 13th, 14th, and bonus payment). Compensation is, of course, based on your individual qualifications and position relevant professional experience.
