As Assistant to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), you will provide comprehensive support to the CHRO in administrative and organizational tasks and assist with any challenges that may arise. In this responsible, coordinative role, you will contribute to the success of the HR department on a global level by, among other things, ensuring effective communication between the CHRO, the global HR management team and the Executive Board/AVL management company-wide. In doing so, this position offers you a varied mix of classic assistance tasks and project support activities (for various global and local projects/initiatives from a wide range of HR areas) as well as content-related tasks with HR relevance.





  • Administrative support: Supporting the CHRO in managing his/her diary and (digital) inbox, coordinating scheduling including provision of any necessary information/documents, administration of business trips and (expense) claims, general correspondence, translations, archiving, data entry/maintenance.
  • Communication Liaison: You will be the primary contact person between the CHRO and internal/external stakeholders and maintain an overall view at all times. You will support efficient communication, filter and respond to inquiries, relay messages/information in a professional and timely manner, and keep track of open tasks according to 
  • Project Coordination: support the CHRO in the planning and execution of global and local HR projects (assist with project research, data analysis/preparation, coordination of project timelines including tracking of open tasks and preparation of presentations). You will also screen technical information and literature (for sharing relevant trends and insights with the CHRO and HR management team). 
  • Meeting Coordination: organize and coordinate internal and external meetings(including HR management team meetings, receiving and hosting guests, preparing meeting space and meeting materials/presentations, taking minutes of meetings, and following up on actions taken) 




  • Completed vocational training or completed university degree 
  • Several years of experience in an administrative or (management) assistant role 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to effectively manage multi-faceted tasks of diverse priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication style with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at various levels
  • Self-starter, proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to maintain absolute discretion
  • Team oriented with a strong willingness to work closely with the HR team and other internal departments
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools/ dashboards, SAP knowledge an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of English (min. level C1), both written and spoken

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €53,200.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
