Development Engineer Electronics with focus on Power Electronics f/m/d in Graz

AVL List GmbH offers a job in Austria (AT) as

Research, development, and testing of power converter components and systems for automotive test systems in the power range 100kW-1MW. Types of power converters: active front ends, motor inverters, interleaved topologies, DC/DC converters (isolated and non-isolated).
 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Simulations and analysis of existing power converters in new applications or operating points, and of new power converters using existing/new power components
• Support  and guide converter design including specification of passive and magnetic components
• Carry out tests for evaluating power converters in prototype stage as well as production stage
• Design high- and low voltage circuits

YOUR PROFILE:

• Completed Master degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Conceptual grasp of common power converter topologies/architectures, power devices (including SiC/GaN) and loss mechanisms is an advantage
• Power electronics simulations using LTspice/PLECS
• Hands-on skills in measurement and testing of power converters, qualification of components
• Ability to work in a team with other engineers and technicians, solution-oriented approach

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €51.800,00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
