What's the role?

In this role you will be responsible for the leadership of Software Development Projects in line with our Hilti Austria Industrie GmbH / Business Unit Installation strategy.

Our site in Lanzenkirchen, based in the south of Vienna, is Hilti´s Competence Center for Ventilated Façade and Installation Systems for Pipe rings and Heavy modular systems. As part of our Business Unit Installation, we provide product development, supply, marketing and engineering. Our highly motivated international team works together with colleagues from all over the world in an entrepreneurial environment to bring innovative new products to the market. What does the role involve?

In this role you will be responsible to develop software solutions with the target to increase efficiency and quality of our service offer. To do so you will work closely with internal and external Hilti functions to define product specifications (Product System Vision) and ensure it is correctly translated into final system solution. You will evaluate requirements and build a product backlog based on the business impact and other strategic and financial criteria. Furthermore, you will closely work together with our internal and external stakeholders to create user stories, run demonstrations, conduct basic trainings for internal employees, service providers and markets. Additionally, you will plan, coordinate and execute qualification tests. Special tasks are: Ensure the roadmap fits to the strategic direction of Hilti global software strategy, consider legal constraints to ensure compliance with all Hilti global legal and branding requirements, administration of user rights and data base content, build up and manage stakeholder relations, set & track target oriented KPI’s and support knowledge enhancement of Development & Service Solutions team.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in software engineering
  • Min. 5 years working experience in software development or similar role
  • Working experience in leading large project groups and
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Working knowledge of product development architecture
  • Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
  • Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
  • Understanding of design quality standards
  • Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory), German (nice-to-have)

This position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in metal trade, employment group IV which states a minimum gross salary of € 2971,01 per month. But we will offer you a salary package highly above the collective agreement salary, starting with a minimum annual gross salary of € 65.600. Compensation is, of course, based on your individual qualifications and position-relevant professional experience.
