YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of the fuel cell systems SOFC as well as Power-to-X systems based on SOEC
• Definition of the requirements and specifications of the SOFC system, the system components as well as development of the functional design and layout of the SOFC systems
• 0/1D process simulation for process schematic development and definition of P&ID
• Support design integration for SOFC specific components, SOFC operation strategies, and test program creation
• Interface with other AVL skill teams, research and development partners, and customers in fuel cell development projects related to simulation, design, control software, test, NVH, design verification plan (DVP), plant engineering, and production engineering
• Support of fuel cell customer and R&D projects
• Preparation of new developments and support of the patent process
• Assist in preparation of documentation for training, knowledge management, patents, etc.

YOUR PROFILE:

• University degree or PHD (TU, FH) in mechanical engineering, physics, electrical engineering, process engineering, power engineering or similar.
• Experience in fuel cell development (preferably PEM, SOFC or SOEC) desired
• Operating experience with fuel cell systems and subsystems on a test bench desired
• Experience with CAE tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Cruise M, CAMEO or Concerto desired
• Expertise with software and controls desired
• Experience with certification processes (e.g. CE, UL, DNV, ...) an advantage
• Proficient handling of all common MS Office applications
• Experience in intercultural teams; excellent communication, presentation and teamwork skills; fluent written and spoken English
• Willingness to travel on a minor scale
• Mastery of English, at least basic knowledge of German (A2)

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €54,600.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
