Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree)for a full-time, four-year position at the Institute of Polymer Chemistry

Job Duties:

  • Conduct independent research activities in the field of synthesis and characterizing environmentally friendly and sustainable functional polymers for future application in one or more of the following areas
  • medicine and pharmaceuticals
  • cosmetics and washing agents
  • chemical analysis and/or catalysis
  • data storage
  • Actively take part in parallel research projects at the institute
  • Hold courses as outlined in the institute's academic curriculum
  • Supervise dissertations in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs
  • Provide support to manage the institute’s general administration activities
  • Your Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree in chemistry, technical chemistry, polymer chemistry or chemical engineering
  • Possess an interest in the synthesis of monomers and polymers
  • Willingness to publish research findings in scientific journals
  • Strong language skills in English, both oral and written (level B2+); German language skills are desired (level B1) but not required
  • A substantial level of commitment and creativity
  • Social skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
