Position

s (3-4 years) are available from July 1st, 2021.

We offer:

  • Approximate gross salary: about 31,300 EUR/year
  • Hours per week: 30
  • Type of contract: Temporary, 3-4 years
  • Trial period: 12 months

    • Your tasks:

  • Contribute to SC’s research in parallel and distributed computing with a special focus in programming models, dynamic runtime systems, automatic performance tuning, data-intensive computing, or IoT/Edge computing.
  • Contribute to scientific publications
  • Participate in international workshops and conferences
  • Contribute to the acquisition of research grants and project management
  • Assist in teaching of courses (lecture exercises, labs, seminars)

    • Requirements:

  • A university or college degree (at least a master's degree or equivalent): a degree in computer science is a core requirement.
  • Excellent programming skills (C/C++, Java, …) as well as parallel/distributed programming skills.
  • Excellent communication and social skills (team player)
  • Experience with parallel and distributed infrastructures (multicore architectures, cluster computing, MPI/OpenMP, cloud computing, resource management, virtualization) is a plus.
