Prime Air at Amazon is seeking a talented and motivated student to join the Prime Air team for an Internship assignment. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with senior engineering staff on existing and new modules and systems. The ideal candidate has at least several of the following: strong computer vision skills, strong machine-learning skills, strong computer graphics skills, or, exceptional coding skills, embedded systems programming experience, enjoys problem solving, and can handle multiple parallel tasks.

Applicants should have at a minimum one quarter/semester remaining after their internship concludes.

As a Software Development Engineer intern, you will be responsible for data-driven improvements to our models. Regardless of the team you join, your work will directly impact our customers. You will:
· Ensure data quality throughout all stages of acquisition and processing, including such areas as data sourcing/collection, ground truth generation, normalization, transformation, cross-lingual alignment/mapping, etc.
· Clean, analyze and select data to achieve goals.
· Build and release models that elevate the customer experience and track impact over time.
· Collaborate with colleagues from science, engineering and business backgrounds.
· Present proposals and results in a clear manner backed by data and coupled with actionable conclusions.
· Work with engineers to develop efficient data querying infrastructure for both offline and online use cases. Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
· You must have the right to work in Austria.
· Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
· Knowledge of fundamentals in computer vision and machine learning.
· Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems.
· Strong coding skills in at least C++ and Python.
· Excellent problem solving ability.
· You are results-driven with analytical skills and the ability to innovate and simplify current processes and practices.
· You should have strong decision-making skills that use sound reasoning and, when required, use consultation to achieve consensus.
· The personal drive and enthusiasm that makes you stand out from the crowd!
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with computer graphics and 3D visualization
· Knowledge in designing 2D and 3D user interfaces
· Experience building complex software/hardware mission-critical systems that have been successfully delivered to customers at scale
· Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification and live site operations
· Experience communicating with various teams to collect requirements, describe product features and technical designs
