BYD Automotive Austria GmbH is the local business entity for the Austrian Market, responsible for the BYD business with our Dealer+ Partner, the DENZA and Flash Charge Business units. With a great team behind and office in the inner city, we search now for a new team member in Aftersales.

Role Summary

This role provides on-site and remote technical support to end customers and the dealer network, acts as the link between the market and headquarters' Quality and R&D resources, and uses big data diagnostics to predict, solve and track vehicle issues. It works closely with Area Service Managers, Field Engineers, the technical & warranty team and the DENZA department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Area Service Managers and Aftersales Field Engineers, but also back-office expert functions incl. the entire technical and warranty teams.
  • Collect and analyse data on recurring, critical or emerging product issues; contribute to root cause analysis, promote corrective actions, and support preventive technical communications
  • Prepare and release technical bulletins, repair case studies, and diagnostic guidelines to support standardisation and knowledge sharing across the network
  • Lead and manage regional product risk cases with fast and effective troubleshooting, leveraging both field investigations and HQ collaboration to safeguard product reliability
  • Mobilise quality and R&D resources from headquarters to respond promptly to, and resolve, market issues escalated from customers.
  • Use big data platforms for remote diagnostic analysis to predict vehicle problems, offer technical solutions and track real-time vehicle handling progress.
  • Collect vehicle quality issues through multiple channels, push for improvements at the source and validate the effectiveness of market solutions.
  • Work closely with the DENZA and BYD department.
  • Provide on-site technical support during launches and other events where DENZA products are displayed.
  • Provide professional dealer on-side vehicle repair and technical interventions support for special cases.
  • Together with the Field Engineers, ensure that any software update or other quality-related update is tested and verified before release.
  • Handle warranty claims, escalations, resolving system and process issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders

Requirements

Experience & education

  • Prior experience in electric vehicle aftersales service is highly preferred.

Technical & Warranty skills

  • Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong technical background including all relevant certificates to work on high voltage vehicles
  • 2+ years of operative experience in the area of warranty workshop processes as well as respective rules and guidelines

Soft skills

  • Excellent communication skills with a strong problem-solving mindset.
  • A strong team player who can also work independently on technical issues.

Languages

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German language and English is a must
  • Chinese language skills are a strong plus

Other

  • Valid driving license.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to provide on-site support.
