Tasks

As a data architect, you will shape the strategic orientation of our database and platform architecture as one of the foundations for the performance of our software products. You define standards, prepare technology decisions and ensure that our products are scalable and performant.

Your main tasks

• Evaluation and selection of suitable database technologies
• Database architecture and design: Defining the target architecture and dividing systems and databases
• Development of sizing methods and scaling strategies
• Performance optimization: Definition of performance-relevant development principles
• Identifying performance risks
• Advising teams on the development of performance-critical systems
• Create reference architectures and best practices
• Ensuring compliance with architecture standards

Profile

• Completed degree (university/FH) in computer science/business informatics or comparable education or professional practice
• Several years of relevant professional experience
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle database systems
• Understanding performance issues and their influence on architectural decisions
• Know-how in modern system architecture (including interfaces, data integration, data warehousing)
• Experience in agile work

Salary & Benefits

To support our team, we are looking now and full-time (38.5 hours per week). There is a minimum basic salary of EUR 62,664.00 gross per year under the collective agreement for this position. We also offer market-compliant overpayment depending on qualifications and previous experience, as well as various SDS benefits.
