Internship: Development of software for customer support based on JIRA in Villach

We are developing a new software for the management of technical support of application engineers and field application engineers for Infineon worldwide: it enables leaner work and capability to create a knowledge base for future reference. We will also offer it to our customer as premium service. The development is based on Atlassian JIRA, a worldwide reference for ticketing systems.

In your internship, you contribute to this development in collaboration with the application engineering community and IT. You help collecting the requirements and evaluating the possible implementations. You test the new features and support the data analysis and extraction of precious information to improve our service. You have an opportunity to work with our technical community at the forefront of customer support providing a state-of-the-art service to our customers. You work embedded in the application engineering team and have therefore the opportunity to gain knowledge on our products and applications.

In your new role you will:

• Collect the requirements for the SW from the technical community
• Evaluate the proposed SW solutions with our IT
• Evaluate the usage of artificial intelligence for smart search in the database
• Develop data analysis tools
• Support the application engineering team in the usage of the SW
• Create SW documentation for internal users and customers

Employment: Full-time or part-time
Start: 01.12.2018

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry. The salary for this position is 1.380,-- Euro gross p.m.(full-time basis) for Bachelor students and 1.810,-- Euro gross p.m. (full- time basis) for Master students.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Bachelor Degree in electronic engineering or computer science. Bachelor students are also welcome. You are a team player with good communication skills, creative, full of self-initiative, reliable and very meticulous in your daily work.

The following skills make you the perfect fit:

• Knowledge of databases and ticketing system such as JIRA (or similar)
• Passion for SW development and verification
• Basic understanding of electronic devices
• Good communication skills in English (German is a plus)
• At least 6 months availability
