Your Tasks

Position Summary

The Quality Team Lead is responsible to manage the day to day operation to ensure the quality of manufactured products meeting TS 16949 standards and will oversee Quality Auditors. 

Primary Duties:

  • Coordination of all actions and activities to improve the quality management system and monitor implementation, with an ultimate goal of improving "zero defects"
  • Provide quality engineering support to necessary manufacturing operations.
  • Identify Quality issues and drive corrective actions to resolve them
  • Implement root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective action
  • Ensure customer quality documentation
  • Establish quality related controls to track and measure critical processes within the plant
  • Conducting internal training for quality and communicate customer requirements across the organization
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
  • Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally
  • Scheduling Quality auditors to ensure that production is covered
  • Lead and mentor QA team members
  • Validate and close-out all issues in CAQ prior to client delivery
  • Collaborate with other QA staff to accomplish all daily QA tasks on-time with a high level of quality
  • Conduct daily meetings with QA   
  • Assist with internal project kickoffs and requirements/specs gathering

Your Profile

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree  
  • 5-8+ years of prior Quality experience in the Automotive Manufacturing or Automotive Parts Manufacturing environment
  • Must be familiar with Quality standards (ISO/TS16949, CAQ)
  • Expertise in in advanced quality planning, inspection of equipment and techniques, root cause failure analysis, machine and assembly processes, and problem solving
  • Must have strong Quality problem solving skills and the ability to work
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience with SAP ERP system
  • Good material handling knowledge
  • Experience performing audits (internal & external)
  • Good pronounced spatial knowledge
