Job Description:
Your tasks:
- High energy astrophysics / astroparticle physics
- Independent research in preparation for a dissertation
- Detailed investigation of various sources and phenomena of high-energy radiation.
- Analysis and interpretation of observational data.
- Improvement and further development of analysis and/or simulation algorithms.
- Publication of research results in internationally recognised media.
- Teaching of courses in accordance with the teaching load.
- Participation in collaborative scientific projects and joint scientific publications.
- Training and further education; administrative tasks
Your profile:
- Completed relevant master's or diploma degree in physics, preferably in the field of astrophysics/astroparticle physics.
- Good knowledge of German and English.
- Experience with analysis/simulation environments or modelling in high energy astro/astroparticle physics.
- Interest in research work in scientific collaborations. Confident handling and programming experience with Linux-based computer systems.
- Please enclose written reflections on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
- Ability to work in a team with project groups on an international level, problem-solving skills
