Low Code App Development - Intern or Thesis Student for Industry 4.0 (f/m/d)- Fulltime in Thüringen

As strategic part of the global Industry 4.0 initiative, Hilti Global Manufacturing is exploring the potential of Low-Code platforms (LCP). This approach addresses the growing need for customized IT solutions (tailormade Apps) managed in a sustainable manner.

Our location in Thüringen (AT) stands for highest quality, sophisticated production technologies and trend-setting innovations within the Hilti production network as the lead plant for machining technology and tool assembly. Besides supplying customers with our series products, we support other plants in the production network with our know-how. Additionally, we contribute to the development of tomorrow´s Hilti products on a daily basis.

You will be part of an innovative and agile team and will be responsible for testing and evaluating Low-Code platforms and comparing its technical features and functionalities. You will do work hands-on while developing and testing mock-ups and proof-of-concept apps for our global plants. After gaining experience with the different platforms, the main result of your work should be a recommendation which platform should be used for which need respectively use cases. You will also contribute to strategical and organizational work, such as drafting a governance plan, support strategic decisions, participate in steering meetings, demand management, etc.

•You are a Bachelor or Master student in computer science, industrial IT or similar
•Basic knowledge of software development and understanding of business processes, as well as customer oriented instead of code obsession
•Enthusiasm for modern mobile applications and use of Low
Code Development Tools
•You have good skills with web technologies and dynamic web pages (HTML5, CSS3, Javascript e.g., jQuery or frameworks and databases).
•Experience with the JavaScript framework OpenUI5/SAPUI5, SAP app development tools and experience with Low Code/No Code Application Development Platforms (e.g. SAP Mobile Services/Mobile Development Kit, Simplifier, Microsoft Powerapps)
