In a 3 month - 4 month internship , you’ll become a valuable member of our Software Engineering team and have the chance to learn from our Engineers’ experience while also bringing in fresh ideas. You’ll join an agile project team and together with your colleagues you will help to build, improve and maintain our top-class backend infrastructure and applications every day, used by hundreds of millions of users. Our main tools of choice to scale our applications are jRuby, Sinatra, Sidekiq, MySQL, and MongoDB.
You’ll contribute by:
Supporting your team members in designing efficient and scalable backend services and APIs for our health and fitness applications Working together with your team to envision the next great features and applications of Runtastic Writing tests and releasing & monitoring your code Supporting the improvement of our growing codebase
What makes you the right match:
Student or recent graduate in Software Engineering or a related field Willingness to learn, to build cool stuff, and to work as part of an awesome team Enthusiasm for Backend development Previous experience with Ruby is a plus Very good English skills Valid work permit for Austria
