Internships
The IAEA accepts a limited number of interns each year. The internships are awarded to persons studying towards a university degree or who have recently received a degree (see Internship web pages for further details).

The purpose of the program is:
To provide interns with the opportunity to gain practical work experience in line with their studies or interests, and expose them to the work of the IAEA and the United National as a whole;

To benefit the IAEA's programs through the assistance of qualified students specialized in various professional fields.

The duration of an internship is normally not less than three months and not more than one year.

Organizational Setting
The Division of Human Resources (MTHR), within the Department of Management, plans, acquires and manages human resources to effectively implement the IAEA programs. It thus delivers the full spectrum of human resource services, including HR organizational development and planning, talent acquisition and development, performance management, and administration of compensation and benefits. The Division serves a multicultural workforce of approximately 2300 people from diverse scientific, technical, managerial and professional disciplines.

The HR Management Section (HMS) provides HR services to the Agency and advice to managers in the areas of recruitment, learning and development, staff relations and the business partner approach.

Main Purpose
The incumbent is to support the co-ordination of talent outreach and sourcing activities, support management of databases and contribute to the enhancement of talent sourcing and recruitment plans for the organization.

Functions / Key Results Expected
• Support talent outreach activities including the use of social media for recruitment purposes, monthly webinars and newsletters, maintain and coordinate the related outreach material.
• Contribute to the strengthening of IAEA's online presence, including content creation and administration of outreach accounts, where appropriate.
• Take part in the drafting and production of printed collaterals; in addition to the administration of the outreach printed collaterals.
• Research on latest trends and initiate contacts with additional talent sourcing partnerships, platforms and tools to enhance IAEA visibility as an employer as well as upcoming and vacant positions.
• Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of outreach activities, its performance and provide regular updates to the HR specifically Recruitment Officers.
• Support and participate in the preparation and organization of internal and external events, such as HR Information Session, Open Days, Career Fairs and conferences.

Qualifications and Experience
• University degree in communication, English, marketing, business administration, human resources management or relevant field.
• Capacity to work independently on multiple assignments simultaneously and adapt to changing demands and circumstances.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Interest in, or experience in recruitment-related work is an asset.
• Proficiency in Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).

Applicant Eligibility
• Candidates must be a minimum of 20 years of age and have completed at least three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a first degree.
• Candidates may apply up to one year after the completion of a bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree.
• Candidates must not have previously participated in the IAEA's internship programme.
• Good written and spoken English essential; fluency in any other IAEA official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish or Russian) an asset.
• Candidates must attach two signed letters of recommendation to their application.

Extra Informationen

The IAEA provides a stipend of EUR 500 to interns who do not receive financial support from an institution, university or other source, and an additional EUR 500 is offered to interns who pay for his / her own accommodation to a non-family third party. The stipend is not a salary, but an allowance to assist with basic subsistence costs during the internship period.
